  28.      Sounds to me like you have downloaded a picture that is
  29. UUencoded.  This means that (obviously a JPEG is stored in a binary
  30. format file) the binary file is encoded into just plain ASCII characters
  31. (which usually almost doubles its size) for simple mail transmission
  32. through the Internet.  What you need to do is find a UUdecode program
  33. to decode the message/file and save it to your hard drive in binary
  34. form.  Then you can view it with your view program.
